MY old friend George Taulman started United States Outfitters (USO) in 1986, then and still based in Taos, New Mexico. In 1991 they introduced their Professional Licensing Service, the first computerized permit application service. I started applying for some of the tough tags in the late 1970s, but I was haphazard and inconsistent in my applications. I immediately threw my applications in with USO and have stayed with them ever since. Over the years, they have drawn me three sheep tags, two goat tags, and two Shiras moose tags. Not to mention a bunch of elk, deer, and pronghorn permits…including multiple Arizona elk tags. To say I believe in USO would be a gross understatement!

USO has outfitted several excellent New Mexico and pronghorn hunts for me, and when I've drawn the great tags I've consistently gone with their recommended outfitters. Fine people, Good friends, and a great North American Outfitter.
