Friendship is a significant part of what makes hunting enjoyable. You sort out over time who your hunting buddies are. They tend to be some of your closest friends. Certainly the most enjoyable friends. Nobody invites a pain in the neck back to their hunting camp.

One of the guys I've found myself in camp with many times is this week's Featured Outfitter. I first hunted with Kaan Karakaya in 1995…before Shikar existed. Joe Bishop and I hunted ibex with him in Turkey. He was just getting started. Today, Shikar Safaris is the largest outfitter in Turkey.
