I'm thrilled to announce that the Independence Gun Club's Sporting Heritage Center is officially a museum. It's even in the Southeast Kansas Museum Alliance Passport. If you're in Southeast Kansas, I'd encourage you to stop by. It's in the former JC Penney building at 212 N. Penn Ave.
A big portion of my taxidermy is on display there. It's a much better location than my barn! The museum also displays an interesting collection of firearms and hunting gear.
If you visit the Sporting Heritage Center, you'll see a few mounts taken with this week's featured outfitter: Zambeze Delta Safaris. Buffalo abound in this million acre slice of old Africa. Additionally, you'll find tremendous sable, hippo, crocs and plains game. If you'd like to follow along at home, follow their social media. Between the reintroduction of lions and cutting edge anti-poaching, it's an inspiring and adrenaline pumping story to stay current on.
I hope this week finds you doing something good for wildlife.
Good Hunting,
